Pantry Project
The Pantry Project is an initiative of the United Way of York County with the aim of filling local food pantry shelves with donated food to feed our hungry neighbors.
Recognizing that the needs are great, we have partnered with York County Food Rescue, which supports over 40 pantries in York County so that no one area of our community goes without.
According to the latest figures, 18,353 people in York County live below the poverty level. People who find themselves struggling financially often choose between paying for rent, gas and heat, or buying food. No one should go hungry.
We invite your company to join the Pantry Project for a month, and will be happy to work with you to support this effort. We are aiming at 15 companies or three companies per month from April through August.
If you would like to get your company involved please contact: Cindy Richards at 985-3359.
